Three Underdog picks for NBA Opening Night
Player | Projection | Our pick |
Jalen Brunson, NYK | 29.5 Points | Lower |
LeBron James, PHI | 14.5 Points | Higher |
Victor Wembanyama, SAS | 34.5 Points | Lower |
Teams feel each other out early, so don't expect Brunson to go bonkers on his usage rate and score 30+. LeBron is playing in that same game, and I can't imagine he'd live with scoring less than 15. Wembanyama is going to be pushing 30 points with 5 minutes left, but either that's because San Antonio is winning and burns the clock, or OKC is winning and the Spurs concede, so play his points under.
