A tense sit-down on Podcast and Chill took a dramatic turn when businessman MySol warned host MacG that a lawsuit was still coming, even as the two were seated in the same studio.
The episode, which premiered on Thursday, 15 October 2026 at 3 p.m., saw MySol confront MacG directly over the show's decision to air an episode on 8 October 2026 featuring Benjy Maponya. Maponya, MySol's former business associate, had alleged that MySol cut him out of a multi-million-rand mining deal and froze his income. Maponya also told the show that he feared for his life and his family's safety after making those claims. MySol's legal team had served MacG with a court interdict before that episode aired, but MacG went ahead with the broadcast regardless.
MySol warns MacG of serious legal consequences
Seated in the show's bright yellow-branded studio, MySol did not hold back.
"I'm still taking you to court," he said plainly, refusing to elaborate on the specifics of the case. "That's a legal matter. That’s why, before I came here, I told Sol that I needed to meet with my lawyers. You need to respect the law. There’s law in this country, Mac, and you cannot run away from it."
He then turned his warning up a notch, telling MacG that the court order required the content to be removed immediately from all platforms and that continuing to post it carried criminal implications, including jail time.
"You might go to jail. I'm being serious. They must sit with you and read that thing," MySol told MacG.
He also accused MacG's team of reposting the content on Instagram after the interdict, though MacG denied having an Instagram account, saying he only uses TikTok.
MacG defends his platform's right to publish
MacG pushed back, arguing that the show simply gave someone an opportunity to tell their story.
"What law did we break by giving someone an opportunity to tell their story? Because we're a platform," he said.
MySol acknowledged MacG's hustle and the jobs the podcast creates but held firm on his legal position, saying he was not someone who settled disputes on the street.
"I'm very strategic. And I've got big guns," he said, adding that everything he contested, he pursued through proper legal channels.
He also claimed that the same individual had caused similar trouble at a radio station before and had ultimately apologised once challenged legally.
The businessman insisted he was not hiding anything, framing the legal action as a matter of protecting his reputation and business interests.
"There's a serious defamation of character. There's an extortion case," he said.
