Will an intraconference primetime matchup hold the same level of drama that unfolded during a crazy Sunday afternoon of football? That’s what we’ve all been waiting all day to find out, right?
Well here we go, with the Baltimore Ravens taking on the Atlanta Falcons in Hotlanta. Baltimore will be without quarterback Lamar Jackson, who’s sidelined with an ankle injury. This is the third game in a row that the Falcons play in primetime, and it’s a stage that’s suited them well.
Since quarterback Michael Penix Jr.’s return from injury, Atlanta has been on a tear. The Falcons boast a scary pair of running backs in Bijan Robinson and Michael Robinson, both of whom are able to take it to the house on any play. Will the dynamic duo get it done tonight against Baltimore?
Even if the Ravens are able to bottle up Robinson and Robinson and the run game, they’ll have to contend with Penix throwing to wide receiver Drake London, tight end Kyle Pitts, and of course Bijan. Then there’s the Falcons’ defense to worry about.
This is a game Baltimore needs, and one that Jackson could have really impacted. Instead, the Ravens will rely on backup quarterback Tyler Huntley and what should be a heavy dose of plays for running back Derrick Henry.
This should be a fun one to watch if for no other reason than to see how two of the NFL’s best running backs fare tonight. If it isn’t obvious tonight, Bills Mafia wants the Falcons to win this evening.
With that, here’s your open thread for Week 5 of Sunday Night Football. As always, be kind to one another — and in all things… Go Bills!
