The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, November 10, and by then, we’ll have a much better idea of how teams stand for the rest of the season, contender or pretender alike. As for the Pittsburgh Steelers, they’re continuing to stack wins in a highly competitive AFC North division, currently holding a 4-2 record through six games. Despite their recent success and two-game win streak, Pittsburgh is in dire need of wide receiver depth, already without Roman Wilson and Michael Pittman Jr. due to injury. D.K. Metcalf and Germie Bernard have officially solidified themselves as Aaron Rodgers' go-to targets at the position, but if they want to compete in a tough AFC conference as a whole, acquiring another legitimate playmaker and pass catcher would prove beneficial.
Here's a look at three potential trade targets for the Steelers, including an AFC North rival to close out our list.
Target #1: Jauan Jennings, Minnesota Vikings
The Tennessee Volunteer signed with Minnesota this past offseason in hopes of becoming a regularly targeted third receiving option behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, but Jennings has been largely forgotten in a offense that’s gotten off to a surprisingly hot 5-0 start. Jennings is known for excelling in contested catches, run blocking, boasting strong hands, running a physical route tree, and reliably supporting quarterbacks on third downs. He’d be a tough possession receiver good on underneath routes and as a security blanket in the red zone. Jennings put up 975 yards and 9 touchdowns in 2025 with the San Francisco 49ers.
Target #2: Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers

Target #3: Jerry Jeudy, Cleveland Browns
Trading within your own division with another bitter rival might seem like a reach, but realistically speaking, Jeudy is well behind rookie wideouts such as K.C. Concepcion and Denzel Boston, producing little on the stat sheets. It’s clear that Cleveland is embracing its youth movement amidst an ongoing rebuild, paving the way for him to see more playing time elsewhere. Jeudy is a crisp route runner, a good separator, quick and explosive off his routes, and potentially dangerous on yards after the catch. He’d complement Metcalf well when it comes to his separation ability and as an intermediate receiver. His route tree is very versatile, something that Rodgers historically likes out of his receivers. Jeudy racked up 1,229 yards in 2024 and just 602 yards in 2025.
