Sunil Bharti Mittal, chairman of Bharti Enterprises, said he is “significantly ahead” of Elon Musk in the queue for India’s satcom approvals.
He said OneWeb applied for approval five years ago, with its ground network ready for three years.
Mittal added that OneWeb’s satellites have been over India for the past five years, but it is still awaiting permission.
“We’ll be very happy to get it at least a few days before him,” he said.
