Apple TV has unveiled a first look at its upcoming romantic comedy series, Prodigies – and it looks seriously good.
Created, written and directed by BAFTA winner Will Sharpe (The White Lotus), the seven-part series follows two former child prodigies and childhood sweethearts who, now in their 30s, reexamine their relationship and find themselves in a "new and terrifying kind of chaos".

The series comes from Sister, the production company behind TV hits such as Broadchurch, The Split and Black Doves, and arrives on Apple TV on 10 February next year.
Will stars alongside Emmy-winning actress Ayo Edebiri (The Bear) and a seriously impressive ensemble cast.

What is Prodigies about?
The series follows two former child prodigies, Didi and Ren, who have been together since they were nine. Now in their 30s, the pair start to question whether their very ordinary existence is living up to the extraordinary promise of their childhood – and find themselves asking the same questions of their relationship.
The synopsis reads: "From London to Tokyo by way of Virginia, this unconventional take on a romantic comedy explores ideas of potential, ambition and the universal complexities of long-term relationships. As they begin to question whether their very ordinary existence is living up to the extraordinary promise of their childhood, they find themselves in a new and terrifying kind of chaos."

First-look photos offer a glimpse of Will and Ayo as Ren and Didi, including a frame showing bestselling author Didi addressing a classroom of young students.
Reflecting on the show's origins, Will told Bustle in May: "It was an idea that I'd had for ages: child prodigies who were now grown up and had perhaps arguably not realised their perceived potential. Are you supposed to be ambitious? Or should you just be happy with what you have?
"I also found myself thinking about how, in a lot of romantic stories, the end of the story is when the two leads get together, and that feels like such a small fraction of the story," he continued. "The two concepts seemed to feed each other really naturally: Is this the right relationship? Am I who everyone thought I was going to be? Is this the life I was meant to lead?"
Who stars in Prodigies?
Will and Ayo are joined by a stacked cast, including John Malkovich (Dangerous Liaisons), Tobias Menzies (The Crown), Yumi Asō (Brothers in Arms), Maria Bakalova (The Father), Reece Shearsmith (Inside No.9) and Dame Meera Syal (The Revenge Club).
