Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended Dhaka-Dammam flights until 25 October and all Dhaka-Riyadh flights until 31 October amid the ongoing security situation in Saudi Arabia, citing passenger safety.
In a press release yesterday (22 October), the national flag carrier said it suspended all Dhaka-Dammam flights scheduled for 23, 24 and 25 October after an attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam on Wednesday night (21 October).
The airline has also suspended all Dhaka-Riyadh flights until 31 October, citing the ongoing airstrike situation and the need to ensure passenger safety.
Biman said it would announce further decisions on the suspended flights and revised schedules in due course.
Flights from Dhaka to Jeddah and Medina will continue to operate as scheduled, the press release added.
Passengers travelling to Dammam and Riyadh may use Jeddah or Medina international airports to travel to Saudi Arabia or return to Bangladesh, subject to seat availability.
Biman has advised passengers to contact the nearest sales centre for ticketing and other travel-related information.
