On Thursday night, Jennifer Lawrence was among the 1,200 lucky guests admitted entrance to Troye Sivan’s intimate pop-up show at Irving Plaza. But we’re betting she was one of the only attendees who showed up wearing furry flip flops. And that’s why she’s, to quote Sivan, “the best.”
Typically reserved for long summer days, flip flops have often found their way into Lawrence’s spring and fall wardrobes (her comfort-driven Archies arch-support pair has become a staple in her footwear rotation). But for the gig, she wore a style that could, perhaps, even take her into winter—thanks to its fuzzy, furry straps.

Courtesy of Valentino, the shoes featured a solid white sole with a slight platform base, keeping her feet elevated off of the New York City streets and concert-hall floors. But the straps were trimmed with white and brown mink fur, providing an unconventional touch and little bit of warmth for the October evening. And she paired the footwear with a deep autumnal-red pedicure.
As for the rest of her look, Lawrence pulled out a cozy gray sweater, slouchy blue jeans, and an old favorite coat from the Row, which was first seen on the Oscar-winning actor in 2020. Designed as part of the label’s Pre-Fall 2018 collection, the quilted ivory silk piece mirrored the silhouette of a long robe, with decorative stitching creating subtle abstract motifs throughout.
For accessories, she carried a black leather handbag and added a matching chunky belt to her jeans (perhaps the studded Tory Burch one she was seen in the other day, though it’s hard to tell). For a pop of color, she wore a textured velvet Fortuny scarf in the same shade as her nails.
