Colombo, Oct. 15 (Daily Mirror) - Tensions erupted near the President’s Secretariat when a group of Buddhist monks and other protesters demanding the release of Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera attempted to put up a temporary tent.
It was reported that a heated exchange of words also took place between the monks and the police during the incident.
The protesting monks have insisted that they will not leave the location until the government makes a positive announcement regarding the release of Gnanasara Thera.
