The Managing Director of Salam TV and Salam Charity, Hajji Karim Kaliisa, has inspected a modern solar-powered well under construction in Kakubo, Butambala. The project is being implemented by Salam Charity with support from Hajat Aisha Nalule from the UK.
During his visit to Kakubo, Hajji Kaliisa met the elderly woman who donated the land where the well is being constructed. He commended her noble act and assured her of rewards from Allah, noting that her donation will transform the entire community as it is expected to attract more development interventions from Salam Charity and other well-wishers.
Hajji Kaliisa expressed appreciation to Hajat Aisha Nalule for trusting Salam Charity to spearhead the construction of the well on her behalf.
He further called upon Ugandans in the diaspora to always remember their home communities by supporting development initiatives such as solar-powered wells that benefit entire villages.
He also urged support for local community leaders, particularly Imams, who dedicate most of their time to serving people during Duas, funerals and other community events.
Meanwhile, the Project Engineer from Brave Water Solutions, Immaculate Nantege, said the company has partnered with Salam Charity on several solar-powered well projects in rural areas. She attributed the continued partnership to trust and consistent delivery of expected results.
According to Eng. Nantege, the well in Kakubo will be able to serve eight people at a time without hassle, with water flowing continuously under sufficient pressure to ensure automatic pumping at all times.
