The Health Department raided and sealed two clinics operating illegally in the Yaragol village of Yadgir taluk on Saturday, officials said.
Acting on specific inputs, a joint team led by Chandrakant Pujari, president of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Yadgir unit, and Hanumanthreddy Madani, Yadgir Taluk Health Officer, carried out a surprise inspection.
The authorities found that the establishments were functioning illegally without valid medical licenses or qualified practitioners, posing a severe threat to public safety. Both clinics were shut down immediately, and cases have been registered against the operators under the relevant legal provisions.
The district health administration has warned that strict, continuous action would be initiated against unauthorised practitioners and illegal medical establishments that are endangering public health.
