An unidentified projectile has struck Terminal 4 at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, according to a report from the Saudi-led coalition. This incident has resulted in significant casualties, with authorities confirming 12 deaths and 309 injuries. The attack has also led to a suspension of airport operations. While the coalition has pointed fingers at Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi movement, the group has not claimed responsibility. This event fits into a broader pattern of attacks on Saudi civilian aviation infrastructure, potentially escalating regional tensions.
Key Takeaways

What to Watch
Observers will be focusing on any official claims of responsibility from the Houthi movement or retaliatory actions by the Saudi-led coalition. The potential for escalated military activity could further shift market expectations regarding the likelihood of the Houthis entering Aden by the end of the year. Additionally, any diplomatic responses or announcements of ceasefires could alter the current market pricing. The situation remains fluid, with key developments expected to influence market movements in the coming days.
