The live-action game show Surprise & Seek has been renewed for two season at Amazon Kids+, with Season 2 getting a Halloween-themed makeover.
The show, which hailed from INE Entertainment, led by Eric Day and Mark Koops, was the first unscripted original series for Kids+. The show transforms “the classic game of hide-and-seek into an epic adventure.”
Tts second season of the show will get a Halloween theme and has been retitled Surprise & Scream. It was filmed at two acclaimed Halloween attractions in Kansas City’s Historic West Bottoms neighborhood, in partnership with Full Moon Productions. “The new season sends kids into imaginative worlds where they must hide from the seeker, race against the clock and dodge slime, confetti blasts and more to find every friend and claim the golden spectacles,” according to producers.
Meanwhile, Season 3 promises to feature the series’ biggest game yet, producers say, as dozens of kids will compete in an expanded competition.
Season 2 is currently streaming, while Season 3 is set to debut in 2027. The show is available to Kids+ subscribers through Prime Video and on Fire TV and Alexa Tablets.
The first season of Surprise & Seek was nominated for a 2025 Primetime Emmy nomination for best art direction.
“We’re thrilled to bring Surprise & Seek back to Kids+,” said Aaron Berman, head of original shows for Kids+. “Kids fell in love with the game the first time around, and this new Halloween season turns up the fun with more imagination, more surprises, and a whole lot more mess. We couldn’t be happier to keep building it with our partners at INE Entertainment.”
Also on Tuesday, INE Entertainment said Damon Laguna has been promoted to vp original content. Laguna has served as a producer on Surprise & Seek since its first season and spearheads the company’s content development and production.
