The Philadelphia Eagles got awful news on Saturday as quarterback Jalen Hurts officially hit injured reserve after news of his superficial blood clot.
Hurts will now miss at least four games, if not longer, as NFL Network's Ian Rapoport estimated that he will be out "for the foreseeable future" after "consultations with numerous doctors and experts that went into Saturday."
The Eagles will now turn to Tanner McKee to lead the team in the weeks ahead, staring down a 2-3 record.
Will Hurts miss the rest of the season? We're not sure. The most important thing is his health, so we'll hope that Hurts is fully ready to go before he sees a football field again after such a scary situation.

What awful news for the Eagles at such a pivotal juncture in the season.
Will the team bring Andy Dalton back?
They haven't as of yet, but it's always possible.
