The Amazon Fire HD 10 is an Android tablet that's perfect for someone on a budget. You get a large 10-inch screen and plenty of power for apps, games, and web browsing. But the real highlight here is the discounted price. Amazon is now offering a 53% discount on the Fire HD 10, dropping the price to just $73 for a limited time.

It's not perfect, but it can be made better

Amazon's hardware lineup is pretty extensive. And the brand isn't just doing things overnight. It's been making tablets for over a decade, offering a wide range of models that try to accommodate nearly every budget.

The Fire HD 10 sits in the mid-range, with a large 10.1-inch screen, an octa-core chip, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. You can expand storage with a microSD card up to 1TB if needed, and this tablet offers up to 13 hours of use on a single charge. This tablet charges via USB-C, but it can be slow, taking up to four hours to fully charge.

Amazon touts this tablet as extremely durable, but that depends on how you treat it. It has a 5MP front-facing camera and a 5MP rear camera. For most people, this tablet will be great for handling everyday things like browsing the web, watching movies, and playing games.

When it comes to software, it runs Android, but it's Amazon's version. You can download apps from the Amazon Appstore. While it has a lot of apps, it isn't as deep as what you'd find on the Google Play Store. The good news is that, if you want to, you can load the Google Play Store on the Fire HD 10.

It will take some extra work, but we have a guide for that. If you want to do more, you can always pair it with a stylus or keyboard. Again, for the price, you can't really ask for much more. At $73, we think that the price is more than fair for what you get. It's an easy recommendation if you're a light user. It's also perfect for younger and older individuals.
