The Philadelphia Eagles have signed former Alabama standout and New York Giants offensive lineman Evan Neal to their practice squad as they look to snap a four-game losing streak ahead of their Week 7 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team reported the signing Thursday via X, formerly known as Twitter.

Neal, 26, returns to the NFC East after spending four seasons with the Giants, who selected him seventh overall in the 2022 NFL Draft.
The former first-round pick appeared in 29 regular-season games with New York, making 27 starts. He started all 13 games he played during his rookie campaign in 2022 before injuries limited him to seven appearances in 2023 and nine in 2024.

Neal did not appear in a regular-season game during the 2025 campaign after struggling to secure a starting role. His career pass-block win rate of 82.9% ranked last among qualifying offensive tackles over that span, according to ESPN.
Eagles give Evan Neal another opportunity to revive NFL career
New York released Neal in August after bringing him back on a one-year contract during the offseason. He subsequently joined the Las Vegas Raiders’ practice squad before the organization released him earlier this week.
Before entering the NFL, Neal established himself as one of Alabama’s premier offensive linemen, starting 40 games across three seasons and helping the Crimson Tide win the national championship following the 2020 season.
His versatility at guard and tackle gives Philadelphia additional offensive line depth as the organization attempts to turn around its disappointing start.
The Eagles (2-4) will look to end their four-game skid against the Cowboys (2-4) on Monday at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN and ABC.
