- The 2027 Ford Bronco lineup will offer more options on more models, specifically a powerful new engine.
- A detuned version of the Bronco Raptor’s twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6, making 380 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque, is now available on several trims.
- The Bronco’s lesser trims can now be equipped with a heated steering wheel, and Ford has introduced a wider selection of interior materials.
If you’ve been lusting after the Ford Bronco Raptor’s twin-turbo V-6 but can only afford one of the more mainstream models, well, we’re about to deliver some good news. For the 2027 model year, Ford is spreading the six-cylinder love by not only offering it on the new highfalutin Filson Edition, but also on the Outer Banks, Badlands, and Heritage Edition.
Ford previously announced that the Filsonified Bronco would get the EcoBoost 3.0-liter V-6, but it didn’t share power outputs or mention that it would be available on other models—until now. Of course, the Bronco Raptor’s engine remains special because it makes 418 horsepower versus the detuned version’s 380 ponies. However, every example produces the same 440 pound-feet of torque. Standard all-wheel drive is paired with Ford’s ubiquitous 10-speed automatic transmission.
Whether or not you’re springing for the new engine option (Ford hasn’t yet said how much it will cost), there are also newly available features that should please people looking at the more affordable half of the Bronco lineup. The Big Bend trim is one step up from the base model—at least for the ‘26 model year—and its Mid package now includes a heated steering wheel. Plus, Neptune Blue replaces Velocity Blue as a new paint color, and it looks like Ford has redesigned its keypad entry system, which moves from a clunky piece on the driver’s door to a more nicely integrated row of buttons on the B-pillar.

Broncos in Outer Banks guise that are optioned with the Lux package trade the previously standard leather seats for what Ford calls a “premium” vinyl material. The Badlands trim can now be had with marine-grade vinyl upholstery (pictured above), and for the first time, Ford says it’s offering these seats with power adjustments.
While we’re not yet sure how much the 2027 Ford Bronco lineup will cost, those details should be announced in the coming weeks, and we’ll update this story when they come in. Ford has said that the new RTR edition will start at $50,790, but that’s before the mandatory destination fee, so we expect the actual starting price will be right around $53K.
