The Punjab government has decided to convert 256 higher secondary schools across the province to solar power, including 15 schools in Lahore, to reduce electricity costs and ensure a reliable power supply.
According to the list issued by the government, schools selected in Lahore include Government Higher Secondary Schools in Awan Town, Barki, Chung, Jallo Mor, Singhpura, Shahdara, Samanabad, Kot Lakhpat, Gulberg, Manga, Mori Gate, and Garhi Shahu, among others.
