NASCAR heads to the sport’s biggest and baddest track this weekend. Talladega Superspeedway will be the site of a tripleheader weekend of NASCAR racing as the Craftsman Truck Series, O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, and Cup Series will all be on-track.
The weekend of action will begin on Friday afternoon with the Craftsman Truck Series Love’s RV Stop 225. On Saturday afternoon, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series will be on-track for the running of The Progress Group 250.
Finally, the weekend will conclude with Sunday’s Cup Series YellaWood 500. It is the eighth race of the Cup Series Chase.
Unlike most weekends, none of the top three series will have a practice session at Talladega. The only track time the three series will see before its respective race will be a single-car qualifying session around the 2.66-mile Alabama superspeedway.

Who Won Last Year’s YellaWood 500 at Talladega?
Chase Briscoe enters Sunday’s Cup Series YellaWood 500 as the defending winner. It was the driver of the No. 19’s first Talladega win, third victory of the 2025 season, and fifth career win overall.
Briscoe paced the field for 16 laps and outlasted the pack behind him on an overtime restart to score the win. Under the previous playoff format, the victory secured the Joe Gibbs Racing driver a spot in the Championship 4 race at Phoenix.
Todd Gilliland impressed with a second-place finish in the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford. Third was Ty Gibbs, followed by Bubba Wallace in fourth, and Cole Custer rounded out the top five.
Another Talladega win would be huge for Briscoe in his quest for the 2026 championship. With three races remaining, Briscoe sits third in the points standings, 24 points behind points leader Kyle Larson. Briscoe’s JGR teammate, Christopher Bell, ranks second in the standings and trails Larson by five points.
