Senior Turkish official: Israeli threats will not change Turkey’s stance in favour of justice

Turkey’s stance in support of what is right and just will not change despite threats, provocations and smear campaigns by the Israeli government, Burhanettin Duran, head of Turkey’s Presidential Communications Directorate, said. Duran made the remarks in a post on Turkish social media platform NSosyal on Sunday, responding to comments by Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz targeting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkey. Duran said Katz’s “insolent remarks” reflected his government’s political desperation ahead of Israel’s upcoming elections in late October.
