The Milwaukee Brewers are heading to the 2026 World Series.
Let that sink in, Brewers fans.
For the first time since 1982, the Brewers have advanced to the Fall Classic after sweeping the two-time reigning World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series.
In the process, they became the first team in MLB history to sweep an opponent in the playoffs after being swept by that same opponent the previous year.
The Brewers will now have a week off before the start of the World Series on Oct. 23. The Brewers are seeking their first World Series championship.
They'll await the winner of the American League Championship Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians.
