The Nasiru Haladu Danu Foundation (NHD Foundation) donated a pickup van and N2 million in cash to Guzape Police Division in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Saturday.
The Foundation’s Founder and Chairman, Nasiru Danu, said in a statement on Sunday that the donation was part of its commitment to supporting security agencies and promoting peace, safety, and security in the Nigerian capital.
He said the vehicle would enhance police operations in the area.
“This gesture is intended to encourage officers of the Division to remain more vigilant, proactive, and committed to their duties of protecting lives and property. We believe that the provision of this vehicle will enhance patrol operations, improve response time to security emergencies, and strengthen the Division’s capacity to combat crime within Guzape and its surrounding areas,” he stated.

Mr Danu commended the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for its dedication and sacrifices in fulfilling its mandate to uphold law and order, protect lives, and safeguard property.
He encouraged the officers to maximise the use of the donated items.
“The Foundation recognises the sacrifices and dedication of security personnel in maintaining law and order. We hope this donation will encourage officers to continue discharging their responsibilities with diligence, professionalism, and a renewed commitment to public safety.

“We urge the Division to make effective and responsible use of the vehicle for security patrols and other official duties in the interest of the public,” he said.
Mr Danu noted that since its inception, the Foundation has supported community life through consistent donations to sectors such as education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, community infrastructure, religious initiatives, and humanitarian crisis response across Nigeria, especially the North and its environs.
