Aizawl, October 14: A 26‑year‑old woman from Mizoram who had been missing for nearly three weeks has been traced to Ambassa in Tripura’s Dhalai district, the Young Mizo Association (YMA) said.
K. Vanlalawmpuii, also known as Awmawmi, a resident of Chaltlang Ruam Veng in Aizawl, had been missing since September 23 and was last seen at Sairang Railway Station on September 24.
The YMA’s Chaltlang Branch announced on October 13 that she had been located, bringing the search to an end. The association said CCTV footage from Sairang Railway Station proved crucial, showing her boarding a train around 1:30 pm and giving investigators a clear lead.
She was subsequently traced to Ambassa in Tripura’s Dhalai district.
