DAEGU — Daegu Medical Center declared labor-management peace for the 24th consecutive year.
The hospital said on the 13th that its labor union and management held a ceremony the previous day to proclaim the declaration, aimed at promoting sustainable growth at the center on the basis of a cooperative relationship.
Through the ceremony, the two sides pledged to maintain a dispute-free culture of mutual cooperation and to work together for stable operations at the medical center.
With this year's declaration, the hospital extends a record of 24 consecutive years without a labor dispute dating back to 2003.
The union at the Seo-gu Senior Specialized Hospital (in western Daegu), operated by Daegu Medical Center, also attended the event and declared labor-management peace for the 11th consecutive year.
"Rather than confrontation and conflict, we will work to provide high-quality medical services by bringing labor and management together on the basis of communication and harmony," said Kim Si-o, president of Daegu Medical Center.
