Colombo, Oct 18 (Daily Mirror) - Litro Gas Company will carry out special distribution operations today and tomorrow to address the gas shortage experienced over the past few days, with 180,000 cylinders scheduled to be distributed over the two days.
Litro Gas Chairman Channa Gunawardena said arrangements had been made to distribute 80,000 LP gas cylinders today, followed by a further 100,000 tomorrow.
A vessel carrying 3,900 metric tonnes of LP gas is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today, while another vessel carrying the same quantity arrived in the country on October 16, he said.
Considering the available stocks and expected supplies, Gunawardena said there would be no gas shortage in the future.
