Nota, an artificial intelligence model optimization company, has deployed technology that cuts server costs for video monitoring solutions by up to 85% at industrial safety sites operated by about 20 companies, including Kolon Industries (120110.KS).
The company said on the 13th that it will showcase Nota Vision Agent, a video monitoring solution built on AI model compression and optimization technology, at the 2026 Korea Construction and Safety Expo, running from the 14th to the 16th at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. At the expo, Nota plans to present key features and use cases tailored to each company's work environment and safety management needs, drawing on its field deployment experience.
Nota Vision Agent analyzes objects, behavior and surrounding conditions in video footage in real time using a vision-language model (VLM). It detects heavy equipment operation, whether workers are wearing protective gear and entry into restricted zones, then explains the results in natural language or automatically generates reports.
Nota said it reduced the computing resources needed for video analysis by cutting the model's processing load and memory use while optimizing performance for each type of hardware. According to the company, the same server capacity can handle up to twice as many video channels as before, or server costs can be cut by up to 85%. The solution runs on servers and in the cloud as well as on mobile and edge devices.
Nota Vision Agent is currently in use at industrial safety sites of about 20 companies, including Kolon Industries. The company plans to expand supply of the solution to the manufacturing, construction and transportation sectors.
"As companies expand their adoption of AI, how efficiently they can run AI on the computing infrastructure they already have is becoming more important than simply securing a good AI model," Nota CEO Chae Myung-soo said. "Based on the hands-on deployment experience we have accumulated in industrial safety video monitoring, we will continue to broaden the application of our AI optimization technology and solutions to a range of industrial sites, including manufacturing, construction and transportation."
