A new Roberto Firmino could be on the horizon for Liverpool.
What an exciting time it is to be a supporter of the club right now. Forget all the doom and gloom. This is exactly what being a supporter of a club is about.
The rebuild. The project. The journey.
Andoni Iraola is putting together something that isn't quite the finished article yet. Right now it feels like Liverpool are at the start of something special, which is what makes all of this so exciting.
Remember when Jurgen Klopp started to assemble his team and then the journey we went on falling in love with the manager and his players.
This could be it under Iraola. And if it's even remotely close to the achievements under Klopp then Liverpool fans will have plenty to smile about.
How Liverpool are building a super team
Julian Ward will also play an integral role in that journey back to the pinnacle of world football. As the club's sporting director it is his job to find the future stars of the team.
He has been working as a member of the recruitment team doing exactly that over the last few years.
And in that time Liverpool have been successful bringing in a plethora of exciting players. From Jeremy Jacquet to Florian Wirtz. The Reds now have a young team and an even younger and exciting core behind them.
Think about Ifeanyi Ndukwe or Mor Talla Ndiaye. There's also Samuel Martinez, Lucca Brughmanns and Djylian N'Guessan.
On the wings, you have Rio Ngumoha and Joshua Abe. Bradley Barcola as the most experienced player at just 24-years-old. The future of this team once Liverpool fill in a few vacant roles is so bright.
Justin Ellis jets into Liverpool, he is the next Firmino
We recently reported about USMNT star Justin Ellis allegedly sharing a picture of the AXA training ground on a now deleted social media account.
It got us thinking that Liverpool could be on the verge of a massive transfer. Ellis' contract runs out in June 2027. It means his club team Orlando City have to sell him in the upcoming January window in order to make a profit or else they could lose him on a free.
So, the chances are he will be on the move.
And well Liverpool seems like the destination for him.
In the process, the Reds could be getting their new Firmino. Ellis is a playmaking no.9. He has 10 assists in the MLS this season, and he plays very similar to the Reds' former Brazilian.
Keep a close eye on this.
