All jobs have been lost after its parent company went into liquidation
The Kinettles Hotel in St Andrews has closed after ”insurmountable” challenges forced its parent company into liquidation.
It formed part of The Kinnettles portfolio which also included Kinnettles Mansion in St Andrews, and Kinnettles Castle estate in Forfar.
The boutique hotel was based in a historic building designed by architects J. Hall and D. Henry designed in 1879, and underwent a major overhaul in 2017. It offered 15 rooms and a spa and had 12 staff.

Callum Carmichael, a partner at FRP Advisory has been appointed joint provisional liquidator.
In a statement, he said: “Kinnettles Hotel has been a well-established part of St Andrews’ hospitality sector, offering boutique accommodation in the heart of the town for many years.
“Despite its established presence, the challenges facing the business and many like it in Scotland’s hospitality sector ultimately proved insurmountable. Our focus is now on safeguarding the assets of the three companies and supporting those affected.”
