Federal Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja has backed the new Governor’s setup in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said it will improve governance, bring stability, and benefit the public.
While talking to journalists today, Shaza said the changes would benefit residents across the province. She said it had previously been difficult to find people in the province for discussions due to continuous protests.
The minister also pledged to improve digital services in KP and expand access to technology so that its benefits reach every household.
On satellite internet services, Shaza said the government was ready to issue internet licences once the Pakistan Space Activities Regulatory Board (PSARB) finalizes the relevant rules.
She said PSARB was an independent regulator and did not operate under the Ministry of IT. The ministry could not move forward with the licensing process until the regulatory body completed its rules.
