Earlier this year, when designer Victoria Beckham released her inaugural collection for Gap, it sold out almost as fast as it landed. Shoppers vied to get their hands on the iconic brand’s heritage denim, shirts and hoodies, all reworked with the sharp tailoring and sleek silhouettes Beckham is known for.
On 23 October, Gap and Victoria Beckham are returning with a second collection, which once again injects Beckham’s signature polish into pieces for the colder months ahead; this time focusing on cosy knits and statement outerwear. “I wanted to explore proportion, silhouette and colour, balancing structure with an elevated sense of ease,” Beckham shares with Vogue. “I was inspired by the idea of taking Gap’s familiar wardrobe staples and reinterpreting them through my own design lens.”

The collaboration was always meant to be a multi-season partnership, and this second chapter really leans into the evolution of the line. Among the 37 pieces, you’ll find simple button-front turtlenecks, oversized half-zips and chunky ribbed zip-ups in cashmere, merino and Gap’s CashSoft fabrication, all designed with roomy proportions and plenty of texture, made with layering in mind. The outerwear includes a selection of high-neck parkas that cinch at the waist, plus cropped bombers in deep green and burgundy.
The colour palette of jammy reds and emerald greens is very of the season, and the chosen shades also have close ties to Gap’s hometown of San Francisco. “The colour palette draws inspiration from the works in the Doris and Donald Fisher Collection [the founders of Gap] at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art,” Beckham shares. Indeed, this art selection is peppered with works that offer plenty of reference material: Alexander Calder mobiles, Ellsworth Kelly canvases, and Gerhard Richter paintings all feature.

“Victoria often starts with art when she’s designing, and the Doris and Donald Fisher Collection at SFMOMA gave us a natural place to begin. Works by Claes Oldenburg, Cy Twombly and Agnes Martin inspired the rich browns and deep greens you see throughout the collection,” president and CEO of Gap Mark Breitbard explains of the collection’s artistic foundations. “It’s meaningful to see our founders’ love of art come through in a way that feels authentic to both Gap and Victoria.”
Pieces made for winter nights in and out complete the lineup, including cosy sweats, Gap’s signature logo hoodie, a black high-neck black dress, trending corduroys and belted wide-leg trousers in olive and burgundy.
Naturally, jeans take centre stage, and Beckham reworked multiple silhouettes including a ’90s-inspired high-rise straight leg – a staple in her personal wardrobe – and a baggier drawstring style. Her additions are an extension of Gap’s bestselling denim offering, which has been on a hot streak since the release of viral Hailey Bieber jean. (The white T-shirt and shirt in the collection make for the perfect accompaniments.)
The price range is little higher than the first iteration, with most of the denim landing around £100. But if the first chapter is any indication, shoppers will move fast on this, so consider this your cue to set an alarm.
Gap X Victoria Beckham launches on 23 October at select Gap stores and on Gap.co.uk.
