Pierre Lindstedt had a long career in Swedish television, theatre and film.
He played, among other roles, the farmhand Arvid in Jan Troell's emigrant films. For an entire generation, he became synonymous with the ghost Staffan in the 1996 TV Christmas calendar "Mysteriet på Greveholm". The success was followed by a sequel in Christmas 2012. In the 1989 Christmas calendar "Ture Sventon privatdetektiv", he played Oxen, Ville Vessla's underling.
He performed with Riksteatern (Sweden's national touring theatre) and was employed at Malmö City Theatre for 17 years.
Pierre Lindstedt was born on Dalarö in 1943 and was the son of actor Carl-Gustaf Lindstedt. He said that he initially did not want to follow in his father's footsteps, but became an actor anyway after working as a stagehand at, among other places, Dramaten (the Royal Dramatic Theatre).
