Gabriel scored again for Arsenal as his goal helped the Gunners secure an important 2-0 victory against Everton this afternoon, earning praise from former midfielder Ray Parlour.
The Brazilian defender has regularly contributed goals for Arsenal and scored several important ones last season. His ability to threaten opponents in the penalty area has made him a valuable asset to Mikel Arteta, who continues to rely on him at both ends of the pitch.
Gabriel’s consistency explains why he remains one of the first names on the team sheet at the Emirates. His defensive strength and attacking contributions have made him an important figure as Arsenal pursue their ambitions this season.
Gabriel strengthens Arsenal’s defence
With William Saliba still injured, Gabriel has helped Ezri Konsa settle into the team and build an understanding alongside him. Their partnership has provided stability at the back, allowing Arsenal to maintain their defensive standards despite Saliba’s absence.
The Frenchman could face a challenge when he returns, given the form Gabriel and Konsa have shown together. However, Gabriel’s position appears secure because of his consistent performances and ability to make a difference in both penalty areas.

Parlour praises Gabriel’s goal
Parlour watched the match and was pleased to see Gabriel find the back of the net. Speaking via Premier League Productions, he praised the delivery from Ben White and the defender’s excellent finish.
“It’s a fantastic goal. A great ball into Ben white who hangs it up, Havertz looks like he’s about to get on the end of it but it’s Gabriel behind him with a brilliant header.”
The goal highlighted Gabriel’s aerial ability and awareness inside the penalty area. His timing allowed him to take advantage of White’s delivery and finish with a powerful header.
For Arsenal, having a defender who can consistently contribute goals is a significant advantage. Gabriel continues to demonstrate his importance to Arteta’s side, and his latest strike helped the Gunners claim another valuable victory.
