An incredible snap at Glastonbury Tor has captured the site's full majesty as a rainbow appears from an illuminated sky - just as Britain gears up for storms to roll in.
The picture, taken by photographer Michelle Cowbourne, was taken at dawn on Thursday, October 22, looking up to the tower of St Michael's Church perched upon the ancient Somerset mound.
The breath-taking snap shows the church against a vivid sky background of red and a deep blue, with an orange rainbow cutting through its centre in perfect symmetry.
Describing how she captured the resplendent shot, Ms Cowbourne said it came just following 'torrential rain'.
She said: 'As the sun rose the clouds rolled in from the west, the torrential rain came just as the sun cleared the horizon and the sky lit up with orange to the left of the scene and dark to the right.
'Then a vivid rainbow appeared above and lasted for just a few moments. It's always exciting when a rainbow appears as it is fairly fast moving, trying to keep the camera as dry as possible and still get the photos. I was absolutely drenched myself.'
In an equally beautiful picture, Ms Cowbourne managed to photograph the rainbow from inside St Michael's Church - with the rising sun casting a yellow glow across the hill and into the town below.

The shots come as Storm Austen is forecast to bring gusts of 50 to 60mph to Somerset from Thursday night into Friday, with gusts exceeding 70mph possible in exposed coastal areas.
The Met Office has warned of potential travel disruption, damage to buildings and power cuts across parts of southern England and south Wales.
Forecasters issued an amber wind warning for the far South West ahead of Austen's arrival around midnight, as well as yellow warnings for much of the rest of England.
The amber warning is in place from 1am to 10am tomorrow for Devon and Cornwall, where gusts of 60 to 70mph will develop with some exposed areas expecting 80mph.
Power cuts may affect homes, while some buildings may be damaged and a 'danger to life' is likely from large waves and beach material being thrown onto coastal roads.
A yellow warning for wind is in place for a wider region of the South West as well as South Wales and along England's South Coast between midnight and 5pm on Friday.
Strong winds are also expected to spread across southern England on Thursday and Friday, with gusts of 50 to 60mph likely and some exposed areas seeing 70mph or above.
