Gunning, a multi-time East Coast Music Award and Canadian Folk Music Award winner from Pictou County, returned to this year’s Celtic Colours with songs from his new album Field Notes, as well as a set with longtime musical partner J.P. Cormier.
This year marked the 30th anniversary of the nine-day festival, featuring more than 50 concerts and hundreds of community events across dozens of island communities. Celtic Colours wraps up Saturday with its closing concert, 30 and Thriving: A Celtic Colours East Coast Party, at Centre 200 in Sydney.
