Get your phones, laptops - whatever you shop on - at the ready. Victoria Beckham is back with a second collection for Gap. And, if the first one was anything to go by, it’s going to sell out, and fast.
Posh Spice is known for her, well, incredibly posh taste: think sharp tailoring, sleek silhouettes and an understated, polished aesthetic. Combine that with Gap’s clean cut, all-American style, and you have what could be one of the most coveted collections of the season. That’s a big statement, considering the sheer number of collaborations on our radar at this time of year (shoutout to Stripe & Stare x Boden), but one I’m willing to stand by.
Why? Well, it's all down to their jacket offering. In case you haven’t already gathered, here at GH, we have a soft spot for a great jacket. So, when we discovered the conveyer belt of options available to buy in this collection, it's an understatement, but were very pleased.
At the top of our wish list is the quilted satin bomber jacket in rich merlot. The shade feels quintessentially VB, having featured heavily in her own label's Resort 2027 collection, and appearing in her makeup line, too.
This shade feels decadent in the satin. In true Victoria style, the silhouette is just as brilliant: a high funnel neck gives the classic bomber a high fashion edge, while the cropped shape creates a flattering, elongating effect.
The quilted parka is yet another standout, with a versatile funnel neck that can be turned down for a more relaxed look. Its adjustable waist can also be cinched to your heart’s content, which is great news if sometimes you feel longline coats swallow your figure up. If, however, you prefer a boxier shape, the denim shacket is just as brilliant and incredibly versatile.
Beyond the jackets, there are also some elevated wardrobe essentials. The black, draped high neck dress with long sleeves is a prime example, a style that we often see Victoria wearing herself, and it makes for an easy one and done outfit.
Comfort has been considered too. The collection features a few cosy cashmere zip ups. Available in a soft, classic grey, and a maple brown, each feature a snuggly funnel neck (this silhouette seems to be a popular choice across the collection), and plenty of pockets. And, of course, being part GAP, there’s a few classic hoodies scattered in there too.
Given how quickly the last collection sold out, we wouldn’t wait if something catches your eye.
