CENTREVILLE — Bo Riley of Centreville, a senior for the Bulldogs, is the Midseason Footballer Player of the Year.
The Footballer of the Week honors, and this year's Midseason Player of the Year accolades, are presented to you from our good friends at Glen Oaks Community College.
The Midseason Player of the Year voting took place a few weeks back. Riley jumped out to a big early lead in that voting and was able to hang on to win the award.
The poll was our most popular of the year. More than 36,400 votes were cast.
Riley earned nearly half of those votes. He garnered 17,534 total for 48.6 percent of the total votes cast. He edged out Zak Iobe of Mendon, who earned 13,159 total votes for 36.5 percent.

Iobe and Riley garnered more than 85 percent of the total votes cast for the honor.
Congratulations to Riley on the recognition. There will be a full-season Footballer of the Year as the season winds down. A handful of teams are going to be playing in the postseason this year and we look to have a poll up once everyone has completed their years.
