Gardaí in New Ross are currently reviewing CCTV footage as part of an investigation into three cars being broken into.
The incidents took place on Saturday, October 17. The first break-in was in the South East Greenway Car Park, where a man parked his car and went for a run. Upon his return, his driver-side window had been smashed and wallet was taken from the central compartment.
Later that night, on Robert Street, two parked cars also had their driver-side windows smashed. A leather purse was taken from one car, and €3 was taken from the second car.
All three incidents occurred sometime between 7pm and 10.30pm.
Gardaí have said an investigation is under way and a CCTV review is being conducted.
Earlier this year, it was reported that vehicle break-ins were on the rise across the county. Gardaí advise locking your car, even when parked outside the home, removing valuables from sight, and never leaving keys inside.
