Colombo, Oct. 19 (Daily Mirror) - Four people have been killed in a tragic road accident near Kurugoda Junction in Akurana, according to the Police.
The fatal accident occurred when an out-of-control cement mixer truck collided with several vehicles and pedestrians travelling along the road.
The collision caused multiple casualties, with four people confirmed dead in the incident.
According to police, the severe road accident damaged nearly 10 vehicles along the roadway.
The crash destroyed a three-wheeler and another vehicle, while a motorcycle caught fire during the incident.
A large crowd of residents has gathered at the scene.
Police are conducting further investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the accident.
