Colombo, Oct. 14 (Daily Mirror) - Former President Maithripala Sirisena said he granted a pardon to Venerable Galabodatte Gnanasara Thera in accordance with the powers vested in him under the Constitution.
“I was someone who gave up powers under the 19th Amendment to the Constitution. I also reduced my term of office. However, everything was reversed by those who came to power later,” Sirisena told the media.
