Gentle Monster is reportedly preparing six styles, spanning rectangular frames and slimmer oval designs. The brand is also expected to offer a wider selection of colours, including grey, purple, burgundy and brown. Warby Parker’s reported colour options include black, brown and green.

The leaked specifications suggest that Samsung is focusing on a relatively lightweight design while retaining the hardware needed for photography, audio and voice-based interactions. The glasses are reportedly powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 platform, paired with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The chipset is designed for lightweight augmented-reality wearables, with support for on-device processing and camera-based features.
The reported camera is a 12-megapixel sensor capable of recording video at up to 3K resolution at 30 frames per second. Android XR glasses may work with Android phones and iPhones
Samsung’s upcoming glasses are expected to offer basic functionality with both Android phones and iPhones. However, the leak suggests that some features will be reserved for Samsung’s own ecosystem.
Certain Galaxy-exclusive functions are reportedly expected to require a Galaxy smartphone running One UI 9, based on Android 17, alongside a Galaxy Watch running Wear OS 7. This could mean that while users of other phones may be able to access core functions, some connected experiences will depend on owning compatible Samsung devices.

Samsung has not announced an official price or release date for its first Android XR glasses. Previous reports have pointed to a possible launch in November 2026, although the timeline remains unconfirmed.
Pricing will be an important factor, particularly because the glasses are expected to compete with Meta’s Ray-Ban lineup. Samsung will need to balance the cost of its camera and audio hardware with the appeal of its frame designs and Android XR features.
For now, the latest leak offers an early look at Samsung’s reported plans, but details such as pricing, regional availability, supported features and final specifications remain unconfirmed. Samsung has yet to officially announce the glasses.
