The N1 newsroom deeply regrets the decision by ten of our colleagues to give up on the shared goal of preserving what we have built over the past 12 years.
Oglas
Today, Adam Santovac, Žaklina Tatalović, Žana Bulajić, Dimitrije Đurić, Ana Novaković, Danica Vučenić, Mia Bjelogrlić and Sanja Kosović, along with Ksenija Pavkov, decided to leave N1. Nataša Miljković made the same decision somewhat earlier.
We wish them all the best and every success, and we say: thank you for everything we have done together. There is so much behind us: major investigative stories, numerous awards, walking across Serbia, and 24 hours of continuous live programming, something virtually no television station comparable to ours, with our resources, has done in its history.
Together, we survived fires, floods, the pandemic, tear gas, threats, attacks, pressure, recognition and praise, and much more, both good and bad. It was an honor to share all of it with you.
We also want to be open and point out that their decision to leave voluntarily is particularly worrying because of the timing. For months, we have been forced to adapt to the fact that colleagues have used every legal basis available to take leave from work, which is their absolute right. We will assess for ourselves whether we need someone to replace them.
We will continue along separate paths, which makes our struggle more difficult, but we will not abandon the professional and moral principles that have always guided us.
We promise our audience that we will remain committed to the truth. And to our colleagues, we say: dear friends, thank you, and we will see you soon out in the field.
