Ten members of the Ondo For Tinubu 2027 Movement in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State have received N10m from a community benefactor, Dr Olorunobi Olalere.
The beneficiaries, who are members of the group in Ward 3, received N1m each, according to a statement issued by the ward coordinator, Akoni Aliu on Monday.
Aliu said the donation was made by Olalere, an indigene of Okeagbe, as part of efforts to support the beneficiaries and the group’s activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Olalere is an engineer and researcher with professional experience in the oil and gas industry. He is also known for supporting community development initiatives in his hometown.
Aliu said the movement was working across the 203 political wards in Ondo State to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
“The group is under the leadership of the governor. But one of our sons in Okeagbe, Dr Olorunobi Olalere, has empowered 10 members of the group with N1 million, totalling N10 million for the 10 beneficiaries,” Aliu said.
The coordinator said the financial support was intended to assist the beneficiaries while strengthening the group’s activities at the grassroots ahead of the general election.
Aliu also described the donation as a demonstration of Olalere’s commitment to grassroots empowerment and support for members of the movement.
The Ondo For Tinubu 2027 Movement is a political support group campaigning for Tinubu’s re-election in the state. The group operates under the leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, according to the statement.
