Kolon Benit said it will focus on delivering artificial intelligence transformation (AX) solutions that produce tangible results for corporate clients, drawing on global software partners and an AI alliance.
The company laid out the plan on the 13th at the Kolon Benit AX Boost Summit 2026, held at Seoul Dragon City in Seoul's Yongsan district. The annual event, launched last year, was organized this time around the theme of "the client's AX journey."
"What matters most now is quickly determining where to deploy which AI agents and whether they help the productivity of the business, and then designing accordingly," said Kang Yi-gu, chief executive of Kolon Benit. "We will keep developing AI packages so that companies can use them quickly and conveniently."
At the event, Kolon Benit argued that corporate clients can succeed at AX only when business domain knowledge is combined with AI. Linking data scattered across separate systems in a way that reflects context, and allowing agents to carry out actual work within a defined scope, requires pairing industry-specific knowledge with AI, the company said. On that basis, Kolon Benit said it aims to lead the AX market using the industry and client understanding it has accumulated as a systems integration firm, solutions from global vendors, and an ecosystem of about 100 participating companies in its AI alliance.
The company also presented cases in which it supported AX at Kolon group affiliates to raise productivity. At one affiliate's manufacturing plant, where workers had operated valves by hand and visually checked boundary surfaces in the production process, the introduction of AI and vision AI lifted output by 28.6% compared with 2023. Kolon Industries also cut annual costs by 2 billion won (about $1.4 million) by introducing an automation agent for shipping document work that had been done by hand, a process that carried risks such as simple data-entry errors and misreadings of insurance terms.
The message was that corporate clients can generate results by first applying AX to operations where losses occur, such as energy loss and scrap rates from defects. "The success or failure of AX is determined not by what technology you adopted but by what changed at the client's site," Kang said. "We will walk alongside clients through the entire AX journey, from the stage of identifying their concerns to the stage where real results appear."
