Birkenstock is celebrating the holiday season this year with a new capsule collection.
For this festive season, the German footwear brand has launched elevated updates its most well-known shoes, the Arizona sandal and the Boston clog, as part of its 1774 line, Birkenstock’s Paris-based special projects and collaborations unit.
The two styles are seen in pony-effect cowhide, which has become a signature material of the 1774 holiday season, and returns in two new colorways: red and zebra. The bold material choices are balanced by black smooth leather lining and silver hardware.
First introduced in the debut fall/winter 2024 1774 holiday collection, the shearling Arizona and Boston are back in a rich dark chocolate hue. Soft shearling envelops the silhouettes inside and out, adding a tactile dimension to the design. The deep brown tone is complemented by silver details, including the signature buckles and rivets. Each pair is crafted with Birkenstock’s signature anatomically shaped cork-latex footbed, lined with matching suede.
The Birkenstock 1774 fall/winter 2026 holiday collection, which retails between $455 and $520, is now available at 1774.com and at select retailers worldwide.
This new holiday collection comes at a busy time for Birkenstock, which has amassed quite an active release calendar. Earlier this month, the footwear company reintroduced the Uerzell sneaker mule in three new colorways.
In September, the company revealed it was teaming up with filmmaker, creative director and record executive Cole Bennett on an updated take on the Birkenstock Boston clog. Earlier that same month, the company released its hotly anticipated collaboration with Etro, which featured takes on the Boston clog and the Gizeh sandal. In August, the company released its second collection with South Korean label Ader Error on a range of updated Boston clogs.
One month earlier, Birkenstock revealed its tie-up with French shoe company Repetto. The ballet-inspired range featured the Arizona sandal, the Scala and the Opéra sabot. The range was unified by a Vichy-check gingham footbed lining — a Repetto signature motif.
And in June, Birkenstock previewed its new collaboration with Sacai at the Japanese fashion label’s spring/summer 2027 show during Paris men’s fashion week. The two footwear styles merged elements from three different Birkenstock silhouettes for a mash up of buckles on a sandal and clog silhouette.
