A new zombie survival adventure takes a different approach to the apocalypse, replacing weapons with hiding places and locked doors. Players control a young girl trying to find her missing parents on the first day of the outbreak. Terminus: Day Zero arrives on Steam this November, completely free.
Most zombie survival games give players at least a fighting chance, usually in the form of firearms, improvised weapons, or an impressive collection of ammunition. Terminus: Day Zero takes those options away, putting players in control of a little girl who can only hide, run, and hope for the best.
South Korean developer Longplay Studios has announced the free adventure for November 18, 2026, on Steam. The short, standalone story takes place in the universe of Terminus: Zombie Survivors, a turn-based survival roguelike that the studio says has sold over 150,000 copies.
This time, players follow Daisy, a young girl who wakes up alone in her family home on the first day of a zombie outbreak. Her parents are missing, and the undead are already finding their way inside.
Without weapons or combat skills, Daisy must rely on her knowledge of the house to survive. Players hide beneath beds, close doors to delay pursuing zombies, and carefully navigate their surroundings while constantly looking for a way out. Eventually, Daisy ventures outside to search for her parents, discovering how much the world has changed in just a few hours.
According to Longplay Studios, the adventure should take approximately one hour to complete and can be enjoyed without playing the original game.
Terminus: Day Zero launches free on Steam on November 18, with support for multiple languages.
It may be a short experience, but facing the apocalypse without so much as a frying pan could make those sixty minutes feel considerably longer.
