Iconic Sydney live music venue The Lady Hampshire has suddenly shut its doors indefinitely - leaving the future of the beloved pub in doubt.
The venue, located in Camperdown, announced a temporary closure earlier this month after the venue suffered severe storm damage.

A number of upcoming shows were either postponed or moved venues, while venue bosses stated on social media that they were still assessing the damage.
However, two weeks on and the venue’s long-term future remains a mystery, as speculation mounts over whether it will re-open.
The uncertainty centres around posts on social media by event organisers who were scheduled to use the site in coming weeks.
The doubt has intensified after a real estate agent confirmed that the site had sold at the beginning of September – although it remains unclear how the sale may impact the business.
A Colliers property listing states the venue has been sold and receivers appointed.
Multiple artists and event organisers have posted speculating about the future of the venue.

Among these was Sydney-based band Manhole, which had been due to perform at the Lady Hampshire on December 5.
“Holians, just a quite note that our upcoming gig, December 5th at the Lady Hampshire has been cancelled due to the venue being closed down indefinitely,” a post on the band’s Facebook page states.
“It’s a shame to see another venue having to shut, and especially because it’s our closest local to the Manhole studios.”
In a similar post, DJ Meem also confirmed an upcoming event at the venue would not be going ahead there.

“Unfortunately, due to the recent Sydney storms and extensive damage to the venue, The Lady Hampshire is now closed indefinitely. The venue has also been sold and so its future at this stage is unknown,” the post reads.
“Shame to say farewell to our home for The Back to Fund BBQ, but thanks to everyone who made the last three years at The Lady so memorable.”
The most recent post on the venue’s social media channels, which is duplicated on Facebook and Instagram, provided brief details on the sudden closure.
Posted on October 9, it reads: “Closed all weekend. Still assessing and try to repair the damage. Thanks for your patience.”
NewsWire has approached the pub for comment.
