Wontumi looks well and strong – Palgrave Boakye Danquah

Spokesperson for former NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako ( Wontumi), Dr Palgrave Boakye_Danquah, says he is pleased with the latter’s well-being despite being in custody.

Speaking on the Ghanakoma morning show on Akoma 87.9fm in Kumasi with Sir John, on October 16, 2026, Dr Boakye Danquah said the Chairman was doing well when he appeared in court yesterday, October 15, 2026.

Dressed in a white shirt and black trousers, Wontumi appeared cheerful as he exchanged pleasantries with his counsel and supporters who had gathered at the court to show solidarity.

He expressed excitement about Wontumi’s condition, saying he was happy with his state of well-being.

“He looks well, strong and clean. When you are in prison, that is the best thing you can hope for. He looks absolutely well. I am glad I saw him,” he stated.

 He said their focus now is to secure bail for him on the appeal case .
