BASTROP - Bastrop and Pflugerville meet in Memorial Stadium Friday night for a high school football game with potential ramifications on the final district standings.
Bastrop starting quarterback Weston Nielsen returned from injury last week against Crockett, throwing for 322 yards and seven touchdowns in a 70-0 win. The Arizona State commit led Bastrop to the third round of the UIL Class 5A Division II playoffs in 2025, throwing for 3,053 yards, 44 touchdowns and six interceptions. Wide receiver Dallas Crescenzo, a Tulane commit, is a target the Panthers defense should be wary of.
