Patriots’ Offensive Line Gets Angry When Drake Maye Does This 1 Thing

“Sometimes, they get mad at me.”

You know a conversation is about to get spicy when someone drops that line into the group text. Or, and perhaps better, is when someone like New England quarterback Drake Maye says that line during a press conference,

Especially when the line has to deal with the fact that he took zero sacks against the New York Jets on Sunday. The Patriots were down three starters that game, which makes the negative sacks even more impressive according to the Boston Globe.

The thing is, while his offensive line deserved all the credit for the impressive game, Maye admitted he pulled something that made the O-line a bit peeved.

“I think that may be one of the first times in my career, and mostly it’s on me for holding the football,” Maye said, the Globe reported. “Sometimes they get mad at me – I run out of bounds at minus-1 or a no gain. Those guys are getting mad at me, which is warranted; I think it’s true.”

Despite the Jets being a great defensive team this season with 19 sacks, the Pats’ offensive line did a miraculous job. And some are saying it’s all thanks to Maye’s wife, Ann Michael, who baked cookies for the team prior to the 26-19 win, the New York Post said.

“I said, ‘I gotta bring in some more treats,’ shout out to Ann Michael,” Maye shared with reporters following the win. “Gotta keep bringing some more treats. Those guys are doing a heck of a job in there.”
