Tickets sold out for Glastonbury Festival 2027 within minutes, with fans already beginning to speculate who will headline the Worthy Farm event next year.
Glastonbury 2026 saw the likes of The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo headline, with Rod Stewart in the legends slot and now three headliners have already been booked for this year’s festival, according to organiser Emily Eavis.
While Geordie star Sam Fender is reportedly preparing to headline next year’s festival, marking a major career milestone, another headliner has now been thrown into the mix.
After being announced for American Express presents BST Hyde Park, Bon Jovi is the latest rumoured headliner after it was revealed that he’ll take to the stage on 24 June 2027 in London.
The New Jersey icons first BST back in 2013, but have never performed at Glastonbury.
But the band’s former guitarist, Richie Sambora, got a touch of the Pyramid Stage when he surprised Glasto-goers by joining late country star Dolly Parton during her Legends slot performance in 2014.
Bookmaker Coral has now slashed the odds on Bon Jovi performing to 2-1 (from 8-1), saying: ‘We’re giving Bon Jovi fans something to believe in, slashing the odds of the rock legends headlining Glastonbury 2027 from 8/1 to 2/1 after their world tour and BST announcements.
‘Could Bon Jovi be living on a prayer for a headline slot at Worthy Farm? They’ve never played Glastonbury before, but the market suggests that could be about to change as punters start dreaming of a huge rock moment on the Pyramid Stage.’
It comes after The Mail on Sunday reported that Sam Fender was ‘telling his neighbours’ he was a Glasto headliner, although organisers have yet to officially confirm his appearance.
A source told the publication: ‘Sam is over the moon, it’s a major milestone in his career and he’s so excited he’s even been telling his neighbours.’
The reported booking would mark a significant step up for the Seventeen Going Under hitmaker, who previously performed on the Pyramid Stage in 2022, appearing ahead of headliner Billie Eilish.
Three years earlier, he was forced to cancel a planned Glastonbury appearance at the last minute due to illness.
Fender has since established himself as one of Britain’s biggest musical acts, collecting five Brit Awards and winning the Mercury Prize for his third album, People Watching.
His collaboration with Olivia Dean, Rein Me In, has also enjoyed extraordinary success, spending a record-breaking 23 weeks at the top of the UK singles chart.
Other names rumoured to be taking on the Pyramid Stage this year include Ed Sheeran, Eminem, Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan, and Fred Again.
